Alexandra Baybutt

Alexandra (RSME, CMA, PhD), works as a movement educator, researcher and artist. She has been teaching movement, somatics, LBMS and improvisation in Higher Education, in professional dance training contexts and privately since 2009, in the UK and internationally. She completed her CMA in Canada with Janet Kaylo in 2010, assisted on the first cohort in Edinburgh with Karen Studd, and teaches on modular programmes in Europe. Her practice centres around the implications of space as social, as well as cellular, on interdisciplinary research and creative pedagogy. Alexandra convenes modules in performance practice for University College London on the BA Creative Arts and Humanities. More details can be found here:

“Facilitating the richness of LBMS always brings new connections for me. As someone interested in many aspects of movement – at the level of the cellular as well as the political – LBMS remains a potent source of creative, communicative learning in my life. “
